Yoyidaila (Yoyeediela) Mendoza is a first-generation Mexican American illustrator focusing on narrative illustrations through oil paint. She holds a BFA with a concentration in illustration from California State University East Bay. Her work has been featured in the Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel, CA., and CSUEB Gallery in Hayward CA. Her work focuses on the untold stories of marginalized groups and the beauty found within them. She explores the concepts of family bonds and the hard truths her community lives with, in a very childlike, easily consumable way.
